What to do after official ESAT and TMUA material runs out
How to use official specimens carefully, then move into original mocks, mixed practice sets and review logs without copying real past-paper questions.
Use official material for calibration
Official samples are valuable because they show format, navigation and style. They are not infinite. If you use them all before you know how to review, you lose the best benchmark material too early.
A better sequence is: read the public specification, sit one official sample under timed conditions, review it slowly, then train with original material before returning to official samples later as a calibration check.
Do not hunt for real questions
There is a clear legal and ethical line around real past-paper content. Good preparation should not depend on reproducing protected questions. It should replicate the test demands: timing, interface, specification coverage, answer-option design and review quality.

Build the missing middle
Between official specimens and the live test sits the missing middle: full-length mocks, short mixed practice sets and repeated review. This is where students learn whether an improvement survives a clock and a screen.
Use full mocks to diagnose. Use targeted practice to repair. Then use another full mock to check whether the repair works under test conditions. If you only do targeted practice, timing remains untested. If you only do mocks, weaknesses stay broad and vague.
Make review searchable
A review log should be boringly specific. 'Algebra weak' is not useful. 'Expanded instead of factorising when options were factorised' is useful. 'Lost unit conversion under pressure' is useful. 'Failed to test a simple counterexample' is useful.
